Lemon trees are small evergreens that are native to Asia. The lemon juice, rind and pulp are extensively used for culinary and non-culinary purposes.

Lemon essential oil comes from the citrus peels of the lemon, which is a by-product of the citrus juice industry. Lemon essential oil stimulates  production white blood cells which defend against infections. Lemon essential oil is an antiseptic and astringent skin toner, tightening skin. It is important to use good quality organic essential oils if you are going to use it internally in cooking.
